Greetings from Martinique
Dahlings, I have safely arrived in Martinique, after some adventures on the way. The train to Paris stopped suddenly and we had some nerve-wracking minutes until we learned that nothing horrible had happened. What excatly happened remained a mystery, though, as the conductor managed to be perfectly incomprehensible in three different languages. So the train was an hour late and the road to the Orly airport was blocked by protesting clowns, probably demanding a shorter work-week and better lighting conditions in the office. Only in France.
Anyway, we caught our plane, just, and arrived yesterday evening. Martinique is warm, lush and relaxed and I intend to be, too. I had planned to do several posts while I’m here, but due to the situation in Brussels, I didn’t manage to prepare the trip as well as I wanted. I’m also not entirely sure about the wifi situation, so we’ll need to see, how often I manage to post. But I’ll certainly be in touch.
Wishing you lots of pina colada’s out of fresh coconuts, mangoes for breakfast, lunch and dinner and tropical sunsets and warm seabreeze.
Thank you! Sounds like an excellent plan. And thank you also for remembering my love of mangoes.
