Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!

In Estonia, we celebrate Christmas on 24 December*, so I’m writing this in the middle of our family’s Christmas dinner (a decision not necessarily appreciated by all family members) to wish you wonderful holidays – no matter where you are or what you celebrate. If you don’t celebrate anything, I’m wishing you a happy 24 December!

In other important news, I wanted to let you know that this Queen Elizabeth I Christmas decoration (see below) is the best decoration ever. I bought it at Victoria & Albert two years ago and it’s just genius. There’s also Henry VIII.

For people who are not bloggers themselves, it might be difficult to appreciate how wonderful it is to have readers. So let me assure you that it’s very, very wonderful indeed and I’m grateful to all of you for coming here, reading and commenting. I’ve also just discovered that the number of American users has overtaken the number of Estonian ones, something that I find quite amazing.

I will do a post or two before the New Year, depending on the availability of wifi in the wilder parts of my homeland that I’m about to visit. Until then, enjoy your time off!

*Well, in our family we celebrate on 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and possibly 30 December, as the family is huge and everybody is divorced.

Don’t forget to add Aotearoa-New Zealand to your tally of international readers, Ykkina. Like your other grateful and engaged readers, I thank you for the sparkle and the thoughtfulness of your posts.

Belated holiday wishes from me to you as well! I dream of visiting New Zeland one day – I have a friend who goes there often and is completely in love. I checked my stats a while back and there have been visitors from more than 50 countries (not all of them are regular readers, of course), it still gives me a huge thrill, thinking about that fact.
